Richard Garriott de Cayeux, born Richard Allen Garriott, known as the leader of Britannia and New Britannia, Lord British, will be our keynote speaker at SotA Con East 2016!
Well known for his video game series Ultima I-IX / Ultima Online and being the First 2nd Generation Astronaut to Space, and still the only one from the United States, we expect a weekend filled with stories and memories of the past and fostering ideas and excitement about the future! Richard is the Creative Director of Shroud of the Avatar and the visionary behind the backstory, The Sword of Midras, that is told in cooperation with Tracey Hickman.

This is a Keynote address as to how Lord British became the creative director for Shroud of the Avatar. The Story of the Avatar
Join Lord British as he tells a tale woven with story and focuses more on the Avatar’s role and the single player side of SotA. sandbox from many different games that have lead him to the point of creating a new world, based on several of those games, with a common thread of virtue. Continue on the story with Lord British as he addresses the story told in the many quests and books found throughout New Britannia and how they tie into having more than one Avatar within the world at once.
